Deep End Progess to Date
The resulting report from the GP's at the Deep
End original meeting in Erskine was circulated to various
stakeholders and attracted wide interest. The Chief Medical
Officer (CMO) and Scottish Minister for Communities also spoke
positively about the meeting in their addresses to the National
RCGP Conference in Glasgow held in November 2009, signifying a keen
Scottish Government interest in the work.
As a result of this, and the gathered momentum among the GPs who
attended the initial event, a GPs at the Deep End Steering
Group was established to address the issues raised.
