Recognising GP Work with
Carers
Following the success of the Caring for Carers Award
2010, The Royal College of General Practitioners in partnership
with the Princess Royal Trust for Carers are pleased to announce
the Caring for Carers Award 2011. This Award recognises the
excellent work of GP practices in Northern Ireland in identifying
and supporting carers.
GPs and their practice teams are nominated by patients
and there will be an award for the winner of the regional final in
Northern Ireland as well as an overall UK winner. The award will
take the form of a certificate signed by The Princess Royal and a
commemorative plaque for display in the surgery.
The winner(s) and their nominator will also be invited
to the annual RCGP Northern Ireland Annual Awards Gala Dinner which
will be held at the Dunadry Hotel on 26 November.
Please find enclosed a poster to promote this
Award. We would be grateful if you would display the poster
in a prominent position within the surgery and encourage
nominations for this Award.
