Supporting Patient Participation Groups (PPGs)

 

A major focus of the Patients in Practice Group (PiP) Operational Plan for 2011/2012 is to support Patient Participation Groups throughout the province and to further this objective the group have looked at a variety of opportunities in which to further this goal.

 

Support Guidelines

Following on from the successful Patient Particpation Workshops in 2010 involving Practice Managers, the PiP Group decided to compile a document which would help aid and support health professionals set up new Patient Participation Groups.

 

The guidelines discuss areas such as the benefits to having a PPG, how to recruit a PPG and ideas on how to sustain and enthuse new members to a group.
