PiP Group: Working With Patients

The PiP Group ia an active and important part of the Royal College of General Practitioners, highlighting patient views and interests. Membership is comprised of lay and GP members, working together to promote patient involvement within primary health care, and has been involved in hosting events focused on providing information and support to those involved in patient participation.

PiP members are also invited to sit on other RCGP College committees and working groups, as well as providing a lay perspective on policy developments and consultations. In addition the group also provide impartial, independent advice and assistance to Government, RCGP and other external health related agencies on issues impacting on the quality of patient care within general practice.

"The whole idea of a GP- patient partnership is that you can look at issues and challenges from different perspectives; and this leads to better solutions"
