The RCGP's National Councils and regional
Faculties support the needs of its Members across the UK.
Devolved Councils
The NI Council is made up of member GPs who give their
time voluntarily to further the objectives of the College in
Northern Ireland. We are always very pleased to welcome any members
who would like to contribute to the work of the college in Northern
Ireland – please feel free to contact us.
RCGP is a professional academic organisation for GPs in the UK.
RCGP Scotland is committed to delivering services and adding value
to help our members achieve the highest standards of general
medical practice and excellence in patient care.
The College in Wales has a base in the centre of
Cardiff and is represented through three regional faculty offices
in South West Wales, South East Wales and North Wales.
Faculties
Below the national councils, the Royal College of General
Practitioners also has a federal structure which enhances
communication with members at a local level.
The English Faculties provide a local interface with Fellows,
Members and Associates of the College.
The Republic of Ireland Faculty support close to 700 members,
fellows and associates of the College in this country. The Republic
of Ireland Faculty is a little different from other faculties.
Although it is over 50 years old, many members are also active
members of the Irish College of General Practitioners.
The International faculty provides a first point of contact for
our International and Overseas familty doctors. Committed to
deliverying a high standard of service when supporting your
needs.
