2000 Highly Commended Paper
 
The judges for the 2000 Paper of Year wished to give a special commendation to another of the entries. This was Ms Elaine Ward, Professor Michael King, Dr Margaret Lloyd, Mr Peter Bower, Professor Bonnie Sibbald, Ms Sharon Farrelly, Dr Mark Gabbay, Professor Nicholas Tarrier and Dr Julia Addington-Hall for their paper:
