Action on Hearing Loss

Action on Hearing Loss (formerly the Royal National Institute for Deaf People) has created a GP support section on their new website. It provides advice on diagnosing and treating hearing loss and tinnitus in patients, as well as how to ensure your surgery is accessible for people with hearing loss.

Be Clear on Cancer

Launched in October 2011, the Department of Health's Be Clear on Cancer campaign aims to raise awareness of the symptoms of lung cancer and encourage people with symptoms to go to their GP early.

European Antibiotic Awareness Day - 18 November

European Antibiotic Awareness Day is an annual, Europe-wide public health initiative aimed at encouraging responsible use of antibiotics. To support the day, a range of resources have been created for use in hospitals and primary care settings - including information leaflet, posters and videos for waiting rooms and a 'non-prescription' leaflet.

Proprietary Association of Great Britain (PAGB) Annual Self-Care Conference - 8 November
