Innovators Mentorship Programme Entrepreneurs

GPs are a key part of care delivery. They understand patient needs, feel the pressures facing primary care and recognise how things can be improved, but until now have had little opportunity to progress these ideas.

This year five entrepreneurial GPs with innovative commercial ideas to support the NHS and primary care were selected to join the Royal College of GPs’ flagship Innovators Mentorship Programme (IMP). 

The selected GPs join the programme with early stage solutions to address some of the burdens on general practice and improve the lives and care of patients. 

The five entrepreneur GPs are:

Campbell Murdoch

Chief Medical Officer at Gro Health, a digital health platform supporting lifestyle changes to prevent chronic illness with focus on type 2 diabetes, which is a growing demand on the NHS with associated high costs. 

 

 

 

Farhan Amin

 

Farhan Amin

Founder of Concept Health, which uses virtual reality to provide personalised treatment to patients, delivering the interventions remotely with trained professionals to multiple patients at any one time. Providing treatment quicker than standard approaches, improving patient care and subsequently reducing the demand for GP appointments.

Monal Wadhera

Chief Medical Officer at LiveSmart, an innovative digital health monitoring and optimisation platform that combines digital technology, clinical data and one-to-one personalised telephone health coaching to support lifestyle changes at key times in a person’s life such as at preconception to support improvements in patient care during and after pregnancy.

Founder of Digitalis CPD, an intuitive and dynamic mobile application that makes accessing educational resources easier and supports group learning and addressing curriculum gaps.

Rakeeb Chowdhury

Founder of BookYourGP, a tool which supports clinicians to automate essential and routine appointments and patient communications. The system reduces administrative work and costs, releasing healthcare professionals time.
