Clinical Priority and Spotlight Project applications
Invitations for Expressions of Interest: Spotlight Projects
Applications are now open for the Spotlight Project Programme (projects of one year duration) for a start date of 1 April 2017.
Each year the College selects a number of new clinical areas or aspects of care to join its programme to raise their profile and increase awareness both within general practice and across primary care. The current programme can be viewed on the RCGP Clinical Priority home page.
All college members, country councils, faculties, committees, boards and groups, as well as affiliated primary care societies, other royal colleges, charities and patient and third sector organisations are actively encouraged to apply.
The Spotlight Project approach was first piloted from April 2015, to compliment the wider Clinical Priority programme and address more prescriptive pieces of work. Each Spotlight Project commences delivery April each year and concludes March the following year. A senior clinician is recruited to the role of Clinical Lead to provide leadership for these prescriptive one year programmes, with the funding body working with the RCGP to steer and support delivery.
If you believe that your application may be more relevant to an evidence-based approach that helps primary care teams free up time to deliver and evaluate initiatives, and embed new approaches into practice, you may wish to apply to be part of the Quality Improvement programme instead.
