RCGP Centre for Commissioning

The centre aims to equip GPs with the skills, competencies and expertise needed to deliver commissioning which is effective and leads to high-quality healthcare.

Launched in response to the White Paper Equity and Excellence: liberating the NHS, the centre was initially developed as a partnership between RCGP and the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement. In September 2011 it became a wholly RCGP project. The centre’s role includes:
