Making A Purchase
We accept credit card payment. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Switch / Maestro. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, post or over the internet via this site.
All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128-bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach the RCGP Bookstore. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
Credit and Debit cards are debited on the day of processing your order by the RCGP Bookstore. Upon successful receipt of payment, your order data (delivery address and goods requested only) will then be passed to our distribution agent (Bertram Books) for shipment. If payment is submitted by cheque and some items ordered are not yet available, your payment will be taken upon shipping the first part of your order. Any back-orders will automatically follow, with payment already received.
The RCGP Bookstore will accept your order by way of an e-mail confirming that it has received payment in full for all the goods you have ordered. That acceptance will be deemed complete and will be deemed for all purposes to have been effectively communicated to you at the time we send the e-mail to you (whether or not you receive that e-mail). This confirmation e-mail amounts to an acceptance by us of your order. This confirmatory e-mail will also contain a link to these Terms and Conditions.
You undertake that all details you provide to the RCGP Bookstore for the purpose of ordering goods are correct, that the credit or debit card you are using is your own and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the goods ordered.
If there are any changes to the details supplied by you it is your responsibility to inform the RCGP Bookstore as soon as possible.
You may cancel your order at any time prior to your order being processed by contacting the RCGP Bookstore.
All prices displayed on this site are full retail prices. RCGP members, fellows and associates benefit from a 10% discount on their entire order once logged in. We will only honour the discounted prices for those members, fellows and associates who have logged in. Once the order has been placed, prices will not be amended. |
Post and Packing
Postage to all UK addresses will be charged at £2.99 per order, no matter what the size of the order.
Overseas orders are subject to postal charges (charged at 30% of order value). |
Delivery Schedule
We aim to deliver your order within 48 hours. If delivery on a certain item cannot be delivered in this timescale, we shall contact you as soon as possible.
The period stated within which you will receive your order is approximate. Goods will be sent to the address given by you in your order and stated in the Order Confirmation e-mail. Please note that your goods may be sent to you in installments, depending on size and availability.
Please note that when shipping products internationally, you should be aware that cross-border shipments are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, Books are 0% rated - all other products include a 15% VAT charge.
Customers have 30 days in which to claim undelivered items. The RCGP cannot guarantee delivery of items claimed outside of this time. |
Back Orders
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait. |
Tax Charges
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, Books are 0% rated - all other products include a 17.5% VAT charge. |

Privacy Policy
The RCGP Bookstore will not pass on your personal or credit / debit card details to any third party. Your delivery details only will be passed to our distribution agent (Bertram Books) for shipment purposes only.

Returns Policy
If an item has been supplied incorrectly, or is damaged, please contact us to discuss the best means of return. We shall reimburse you for the item and return postage.
We regret we cannot accept returns of multimedia items unless damaged or faulty.
If you want to return an item for any other reason, you may do so within 14 days of receipt. We shall refund the cost of the goods, providing the goods are in perfect resaleable condition. We do not reimburse postage costs in this instance.
In all cases, returns authorisation must be granted by the RCGP Bookstore prior to returning goods |
Remittance Terms
All orders placed online must be paid for before we despatch your order. Trade customers and RCGP Members paying by invoice must return payment within 30 days.
