What's in it for me?
We really do need to recognise and salute
those in our profession who make a real difference to medical care
but rarely receive any celebration. Fellowship is an ideal way of
saying “we know you are working hard to set high standards within
general practice and we’d like to thank you”. Fellowship is also a
way of setting yourself a further challenge or milestone in your
career, or to simply reflect on your successes so far. The
satisfaction of knowing that your peers consider you to have made a
distinguished contribution to the care of patients, or to the
profession of general practice, is hard to objectify but Fellowship
goes some way towards this.
