What happens if an application is not approved for Fellowship?

An applicant has two years in which to submit and, where necessary, re-submit their application.  Throughout the initial enquiry stage, registration and application process great care will be taken to support applicants prepare for Fellowship. This includes the opportunity to discuss their eligibility with the Faculty Lead or a member of the Fellowship Committee (via the Fellowship Unit).

Where the adjudicators do not make a positive recommendation for fellowship applicants are invited to resubmit with commentary on their initial application. Any further adverse recommendations from adjudicators will be forwarded to the Fellowship Committee for a decision. A case bank is continually being built so in many circumstances this happens when a situation is presented that the criteria don't strictly accommodate.

In the event of an adverse decision, applicants will have recourse to an appeals procedure, determined by a Tribunal comprising the Chairman of Council, the Honorary Secretary and one other elected Member of Council.
